Off-Campus Life at Cornell

On-Campus

As a Cornell student, you will be spending a good deal of time on-campus.  Between class, studying, groups, sports, and clubs, you are on the Cornell grounds for a good portion of the day.  If you are in your first year or now even into your second year, you may be living on-campus.  You could be in the dorms or a sorority or fraternity and spend almost all of your time on-campus.  The great news is that Cornell is one of the most beautiful college campuses in the country.  So your time there will be enjoyable, for the most part.  The real fun is when you get to move to Cornell’s off-campus housing.

Off-Campus

So now that you have put your time in on-campus it is time to live off-campus!  More than likely you will move into your own student apartment rental in Collegetown.  This is a great time in your college career and a chapter that brings great joy and excitement.  Even when you live on-campus you will still spend a good amount of time off-campus.  Your shopping, entertainment, restaurants, bars, and stores are mostly off the grounds of Cornell.  The great thing is you have both Collegetown and the city of Ithaca nearby.  There is so much to offer in both of these places!
