How Can You Help Keep Collegetown Apartments in Ithaca Clean and Green?

At PJ Apartments, we want to let our tenants and others living in Collegetown apartments in Ithaca to acknowledge how simple it can be to recycle properly and keep a green environment.

Under the recycling laws of New York State, recyclable items are considered to be items that are made out of paper, plastic, or glass. In Ithaca, the Tompkins County Waste Department assists this effort by providing a place to collect and sort through trash and recycled materials to help the environment.

It is very easy for our tenants to contribute to this effort by properly recycling in our trash & recycling areas.

There are two easy ways you can help our community do this:

1. Recycle in Garbage Areas at PJ Apartments: Our properties have a service that comes once a week to collect all of the garbage and recyclables from the garbage areas. They then take all of the trash and recyclables to the waste center to be sorted through at their facility.

2. Return Your Recyclables for Money: There are several bottle return centers throughout Ithaca. In New York State, each bottle return earns you 5 cents!

We would love to encourage all of our tenants to help toward this effort to help keep PJ Apartments and surrounding Collegetown rentals as clean and green as possible!
