New Alley Cat Cafe Provides Charity for Stray Cats

At PJ Apartments we believe it is very important to not only provide collegetown apartments, but to also be involved with the local community and offer help whenever we can. For more than 15 years, we have been feeding stray cats and no doubt other wildlife on Williams Street and Highland Place!

Last month the Alley Cat Cafe opened on 312 East Seneca Street, Ithaca, New York. This business is a brand new walk in cafe with delicious food options, loose leaf tea, coffee and of course plenty of cats. The Alley Cat Cafe has a partnership with Browncoat Cat Rescue. This organization is a volunteer-run service whose goal is to help unwanted and abandoned cats in the Ithaca area. Browncoat Cat Rescue have helped us many times with finding homes for cats and sometimes their kittens too.

All of the cats at the Alley Cat Cafe are rescued through Browncoat Cat rescue and are available for adoption. The Alley Cat Cafe provides a pleasant, child friendly experience where individuals and families can go and get breakfast or lunch and interact with the rescued cats. This organization helps provide a temporary place for the cats to live happily until they are adopted and can find a new home. The Alley cat cafe is open from 7:30 AM to 7 PM on weekdays and 9 AM to 7 PM on the weekends.

We strongly believe in this organization’s mission. We encourage our tenants to stop by the Alley Cat Cafe and see all the good things they have to offer. For more information on this new local business you can call them at (607) 319-5006 or check out their facebook page online.
