Off Campus Living From Cornell University

Off-Campus Living Experience

As of the 2021 semester, all Cornell students must live on campus through their sophomore year.  By the time you have put your two years in in the dorms, you will be ready to get off-campus!  With this comes the whole off-campus living experience.  Almost a rite of passage for college students.  You can really get out and have your privacy and fun.  If you haven’t started looking yet, look no further, PJ Apartments has nearly 25 houses in Collegetown to meet your off-campus living needs.

Pros of Off-Campus Living

Number one plus is more freedom and independence.   You are responsible for yourself and will be able to feel that level of independence that is so coveted.  You will also have more privacy and space.  These two things are so important and you will be grateful after sharing bathrooms, common areas, and dining halls for two years!  Being in your own apartment also means it will be quieter and you will have fewer distractions.  In turn, this will give you more success in your studies and school work.

Along with the mentioned list above you will also be able to build up your renting history.  This means after you graduate you will most likely need a landlord reference to find an apartment, and you will now have one.
