Blooming around Ithaca, Local Events

It’s been a slightly chilly and rainy week in Ithaca, and I’m sure we’re all looking forward to a bit of a pick-me-up! Well, the weather certainly can put a bit of a damper on certain activities, and moods in general. Still, all this rain is going to produce a gorgeous bloom in the near future. If you’re looking for evidence, please stop by our Cornell student rentals on Dewitt Place in a week or so. You’re bound to see what we mean! This cold springtime deluge will lead to a magnificent display of foliage, not only around our apartments on Dewitt Place but all over Ithaca!

Daffodil Festival

Some locals are definitely playing their cards right and anticipating the coming bloom. In Candor, a town just to the south of Ithaca, the Candor Chamber of Commerce has planned a daffodil festival for the first of May. I’m certain it will be a wonderful display!

Fashion Week

If you’re looking for another pick-me-up type event, I would recommend checking out Fashion Week in Downtown Ithaca. This event will start this Sunday, April 18th, and proceed until the following Sunday. It is a celebration of several of the independent, locally-owned shops. As such, several will be participating by hosting a traveling selfie station. This station will allow people to show off their most unique styles. It sounds like a great way to not only get out and about but to exercise a bit of self-expression after a full year of laying low!

I hope you’re all able to push through this dower spell. Hopefully, it will be our last one until the summer, when the rain will be a welcome respite from the heat.

If you are in need of housing for the 21 to 22 academic year, please contact us! We have a few excellent Collegetown apartments left!
