How to Properly Dispose of Trash and Recycling Post Move-in

Fall semester is almost here. For those of you moving into your apartment over the next couple of weeks, there’s going to be a lot of unpacking and you will probably have boxes and packing materials that you need to dispose of.

We have many designated trash and recycling collection locations at our collegetown rentals in Ithaca. We’ll advise you of the nearest location to your building. Please make sure you break down all cardboard boxes and store things neatly; thank you.

Also, please be aware that the City of Ithaca is extremely vigilant when it comes to inspecting properties for garbage violations. Even leaving a garbage bag and/or recycling in non designated areas such as on a porch or around a building is enough for the officer to issue a ticket for garbage violation.

Collegetown has many historic buildings and they do deserve to look neat and tidy.

We’re looking forward to welcoming all our tenants back to school and moving into our Cornell off-campus housing.

If you have questions about where the designated garbage areas are, please reach out to us by email at pjapartment@gmail.com or give us a call at 607-277-0910.
